Description: The Brioche Stitch looks unique and lovely when complete, but is really just a strategic combination of the knit stitch, slipped stitches and yarn overs. The resulting fabric somewhat resembles a basic k1-p1 rib, but is more lofty, softer, and reversible! When you add a second color, the visual result can be stunning!

Description: Knitted cable stitch patterns tend to ‘pull’ the fabric ‘in’, while most lace stitch patterns tend to ‘expand’ the fabric outward. Combing the two can create a balanced but beautiful fabric that looks classic yet innovative. Once you try a basic cable and lace combination, you’ll see how you can use any stitch dictionary to create any number of original Afghan squares, spa cloths or scarves!
In this class, you’ll begin to create a cables-and-lace coaster-sized square, and go home with ideas for many more!
