Frequently Asked Questions for Attendees

Where and When is the festival?  The festival is held once a year in the fall in Central Alberta.  This year the date of the festival is September 14 at the Lacombe Memorial Centre in Lacombe Alberta.  The Vendor Hall is open from 11 - 4:00 p.m. with a social on Friday evening and classes taking place on Saturday from 9:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Is there an entrance fee?  Yes, there is a $5 entrance fee at the door, however, if you attend the social or take a class the entrance fee is included!  We prefer cash but also have Debit Tap available.

Can I pre-purchase tickets?  Not at this time but we are looking at that option.

If I want to make is a fibre friends weekend where can I stay?  The festival reserves a block of rooms at a discounted rate at the Best Western in Lacombe.  There are also many other options as well as several B & B’s in the area that our vendors and attendees have stayed at.  If you want to bring a camping trailer there is a campground right in Lacombe!  In fact, it’s right beside the Best Western.  Many people have also taken advantage of this option as well.

Will there be food?  Yes, Anna’s Cafe is right in the building and serves amazing homemade food such as soups, salads and sandwiches as well as a variety of refreshments including wonderful coffee, lattes and teas.  There is also usually a food truck or two that makes it to the event as well.

Can I sit and craft somewhere for a refresher?  YES! Bring your fibre friends and sit and craft in Lorenzo's Lounge area upstairs or take advantage of the wonderful gardens on the grounds of the Lacombe Memorial Centre
